Level One is designed for new students in the Himalayan Yoga Tradition's Continuing Studies and Teacher Training Program. This 2-week ashram-style retreat will focus on the Level 1 curriculum, which is required for both our 200 and 600 hour programs. The topics include Meditation, Raja Yoga, Yoga Sutras, Philosophy, Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Anatomy, Yoga Nidra, Psychology, Holistic Health, and Teaching Methodology (see sample schedule below).

Level Two is the continuation of the 600 hour HYT program. After attending the first level retreat and completing the home study assignments associated with it, the student will go through the ten topics covered in the program in a greater depth. Mentor and/or Faculty approval is required to attend the Level 2 Retreat.  Those students that have met the required accomplishments will receive a 200-Hour Graduation Certificate. Beginning in 2022, students will attend a one-week certification retreat following the Level 2 Retreat for their 200-Hour practical examination.

Level Three is the synthesis and the integration of what the student has learned through the first two levels. The student will learn to deepen his sadhana and to integrate all the aspects of the teachings into his daily life. Mentor and/or Faculty approval is required to attend the  Level 3 Retreat and those students that meet the required accomplishments will receive a 500-Hour Graduation Certificate.  This retreat will not be held unless there are least 5 students enrolled.  Please send an email as soon as possible with the date that you and your mentor anticipate that you will be prepared for your Level Three Retreat.

Beginning in 2021, students will attend a one-week certification retreat following the Level 3 Retreat for their 500-Hour or 600-Hour practical examination.

The 200 Hour program is now offered in India as well as in America. Click Here for more information
